Pedidae is a child health-focused social forum designed to connect parents, caregivers, and medical professionals. The goal was to build an intuitive platform where users can ask questions, share knowledge, and engage with each other while leveraging modern technology to enhance parenting experiences.
Many parents and caregivers in Ghana lack access to reliable child health resources and a supportive community. Existing solutions are fragmented, making it difficult to track a child’s health, find credible medical advice, and access relevant parenting resources in one place.
I designed an all-in-one digital platform that integrates multiple functionalities, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience. The platform includes:
Shopping Hub : A marketplace where users can purchase essential baby products.
Comprehensive Health Services : Allows users to track their child’s growth, manage insurance policies, and schedule vaccinations.
AI Chatbot : Provides instant responses to parenting and health-related queries.
Pedidae Recipes : A video library showcasing step-by-step guides on preparing healthy baby food.
Parental Community : A forum where parents can interact, ask questions, and share experiences, similar to Quora.
Courses : A paid module offering expert-led courses on newborn care and parenting.
Ask A Doctor : Enables users to book and engage in one-on-one virtual consultations with pediatricians.
Conducted user research and gathered insights from parents and healthcare professionals.
Designed an intuitive UI/UX, ensuring seamless navigation and accessibility.
Collaborated with developers to implement the design vision effectively.
Pedidae successfully bridges the gap between parents, caregivers, and medical professionals, creating a supportive ecosystem for child health and parenting. This project highlights the power of user-centered design in solving real-world problems, making healthcare and parenting resources more accessible and engaging.
